Plant Capacity:  27 MGD (million gallons per day)
Demand:  5 MGD in winter and 15 MGD in summer 

Disinfection:
Your tap water contains chloramines.  Chloramines are used as a disinfectant to protect water from the treatment plant to your tap.

Fluoridation:
Your tap water is fluoridated.  Fluoride is added to your water at levels recommended by The American Dental Association to protect tooth enamel from cavities.

Hardness:
Your tap water has an average Hardness of approximately 110 milligrams per liter (mg/l) or 6.5 grains per gallon (GPG).  The concentrations can fluctuate from 80 mg/l or 5 GPG in the summer up to 140 mg/l or 8 GPG in the winter.
